One of the first things "Star Wars" fans are going to do when they get their hands on a copy of the movie is go through the film's deleted scenes.
But if you're going to want to watch them all, you're going to have to know where to look.
Tech Insider received a press review copy of the movie ahead of its April 5 release on Blu-ray.
Naturally, the first thing I did (other than take some photos of the box to share), was check out the deleted scenes. There are seven in total. So I was surprised when I only found six deleted scenes on the special features disc included with the Blu-ray combo pack.
Was the seventh deleted scene on one of the other two discs that comes with the Blu-ray edition?
Nope.
To access the seventh deleted scene — "Tunnel Standoff" — fans will have to use a code that comes with the Blu-ray combo pack to unlock the digital version of the movie.
Here's how to do it.
Inside the Blu-ray edition, there should be a slip of paper with Rey and BB-8 on it saying "Get Your Digital Movie NOW."
Head to ForceAwakensDigitalHD.com and enter your code.
After your code is entered, you'll be asked to select which service you want to watch the film on: iTunes, VUDU, Google Play, Amazon Video, or Fandango Now. If you have a Disney Movies Anywhere account, the Mouse House's free service to stream its content, it will let you stream the film across any of those other accounts.
Once you have access to the film, you'll find the seventh scene, "Tunnel Standoff under a section labeled "Bonus Scenes":
The "Tunnel Standoff" is definitely the best deleted scene out of the seven. Han Solo, Finn, Maz Kanata, and Chewbacca are being held up by members of the First Order. Before we can see how they escape, the scene ends abruptly, suggesting there's still some missing footage we haven't seen.
The HD digital version of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is currently available for purchase. It will be available on Blu-ray Tuesday, April 5.
