Disney is entering the streaming war this year with its Netflix rival, Disney Plus.

On top of Disney's already extensive library of content, it is developing many original shows and movies for the platform, including three live-action "Star Wars" shows and eight Marvel TV series spinning out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney revealed further details about its slate of content at the Disney D23 expo over the weekend.

Its original content also includes a "Monsters Inc." series, a "High School Musical" series, a "Lizzie McGuire" revival, and movies starring Anna Kendrick and Willem Dafoe.

Disney will go head-to-head with Netflix, ending a licensing deal with the streaming giant this year. All new Disney theatrical releases, starting with "Captain Marvel," will eventually land on Disney Plus.

In April, Disney informed investors they predict 60 million to 90 million subscribers by 2024 for Disney Plus, and it plans to spend $1 billion in the first year and $2 billion yearly by 2024 on original content.

The service will cost subscribers $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year ($5.83 per month) when it launches on November 12.

Below are the confirmed projects in development for Disney Plus, including which ones will be available on launch day:

Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed in November during an earnings call that a "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" spin-off starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor is in the works.

The official "Star Wars" website described it as a "spy thriller" that "follows the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion."
