One of the "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" cast members lost the script for the highly-anticipated film and John Boyega fessed up, saying he was the one to blame.

"It was me, but wait. Let me tell you how this all went down," Boyega told Michael Strahan on ABC's "Good Morning America" Wednesday morning.

"I was moving apartments and I left the script under my bed," said Boyega.

He thought it was a good place to keep the script before moving the next morning.

"But then my boys came over and we started partying a little bit," Boyega said of forgetting it was there. "The script just stayed there. And then a few weeks after, this cleaner comes in, finds the script, and then puts it on eBay for like 65 pounds."

At $84 American, Boyega joked that the cleaner didn't know the value of what he had on his hands.

It's a bit of a surprise Boyega had "The Rise of Skywalker" script so nonchalantly at his apartment. Typically, the "Star Wars" scripts are under a huge veil of secrecy. Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, said he read the script for 2015's "The Force Awakens" on an iPad with security near him. Benicio del Toro said a man waited outside his house for eight hours while he read the script for "The Last Jedi."

As you could imagine, losing the script for one of Disney's biggest movies of the year was a bit hectic.

"It was scary. I got calls from every official," said Boyega of hearing from Disney bosses after losing the script.

"Even Mickey Mouse called me up, 'What did you do?'" Boyega joked in an impression of the Disney mouse.

It all worked out though. Before anyone could purchase the script, Abrams told "Good Morning America"earlier this week that Disney and Lucasfilm got it back from eBay.

Boyega said even though he had the script to the movie that he's currently unsure how the film itself ends. He said they filmed a few different endings and did some reshoots.

He did wind up telling his best friend everything he knows about the movie, though.

"I said this is the last film," Boyega said. "I don't have time to keep all this in me, so I told her absolutely everything."

You can watch Boyega recall losing the "Star Wars" script below around the 1:23 mark. "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will be in theaters Friday, December 20, 2019.
