Baby Yoda and Rey Star Wars The Mandalorian Disney

With "Star Wars" season officially upon us, Disney has confirmed premiere dates for the final two episodes of "The Mandalorian," which are scheduled around the US premiere of "The Rise of Skywalker."

Instead of the usual Friday debut for "The Mandalorian," the seventh episode will be available to stream on Disney Plus on Wednesday, December 18. According to a press release, this episode will include an exclusive sneak peek at "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."

There are also helpful dates for the streaming available of "The Last Jedi" (the 2017 "Star Wars" film) that fans should note. Right now, all of the "Star Wars" movies except "The Last Jedi" are streaming on Disney Plus. But that will change by the end of the month.

For US fans in particular, here are the key dates you should know:

  • Wednesday, December 18 — Episode seven of "The Mandalorian" on Disney Plus
  • Friday, December 20 — "The Rise of Skywalker" in theaters in the US
  • Wednesday, December 25 — "The Last Jedi" leaves Netflix
  • Thursday, December 26 — "The Last Jedi" available to stream on Disney Plus
  • Friday, December 27 —  Season one finale of "The Mandalorian" on Disney Plus

In Disney's press release for the coming episodes of "The Mandalorian," small synopses were provided. Here are the teasers for the coming final chapters:

  • Chapter Five— "The Mandalorian helps a rookie bounty hunter who is in over his head."
  • Chapter Six— "The Mandalorian joins a crew of mercenaries on a dangerous mission."
  • Chapter Seven— "An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace."
  • Chapter Eight— "The Mandalorian comes face-to-face with an unexpected enemy."

With just half of "The Mandalorian" already aired, the TV series has become a sensation thanks to the little green child best known as "Baby Yoda." Many "Star Wars" fans are likely just as eager to learn Baby Yoda's fate as they are to see the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga.
