Rumors have been circulating for a long time that actress Gwendoline Christie would be playing the mysterious masked character Captain Phasma in "Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens."
Well, it turns out that wasn't just a rumor.
With a new photo from the set, Vanity Fair confirmed that Christie will indeed be playing the character. Phasma, who has been called "The Chrometrooper" by fans, is a member of The First Order which is the film's new version of the Evil Empire.
Here's a look at the character:
Christie is best known to audiences as Brienne of Tarth on "Game of Thrones."
Come December 18, when "The Force Awakens" is released in theaters, we will be able to find out whether Christie can wield both a sword and a lightsaber.
