The 4 'Star Wars' toys every kid will want this holiday

With "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hitting theaters this December, "Star Wars" toys are expected to be huge this holiday season.

Last week, I headed over to the TTPM (Toys, Tots, Pets, and More) holiday showcase where the popular toy site shows off which products they predict will be big hits with kids come Christmastime.

It was little surprise that "Star Wars" made the list.

Out of the over 100 "Star Wars" toys reviewed by TTPM, there were four items toy experts predicted will be the biggest sellers this holiday season.

Keep scrolling to see which "Star Wars" toys kids will have on their wish lists.

1. Sphero's $150 BB-8 droid

This was one of the most in-demand toys when Disney debuted its line of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" toys Sept. 4.

The small ball droid by Colorado-based startup Sphero is essentially a miniature replica of the new character who will be featured in "The Force Awakens" this December.

We've checked it out and it's really cool. You control the BB-8 through an app on your smartphone or tablet. Not only does the little droid move up to five miles per hour, but he's incredibly responsive to the controls. Check it out here and here.

If you can't get your hands on Sphero's BB-8, or find the price a little too steep, Hasbro has its own version of the rolling BB-8 available for $79.99. We've tried out both. And while the Hasbro version also looks spot on, it definitely has a harder time moving around smoothly on all surfaces. Sphero's BB-8 is the clear winner, and worth every penny if you're looking for a working replica of the droid.

You can buy Sphero's BB-8 droid here. You can check out Hasbro's version of the toy here.

2. Hasbro's $200 Black Series Kylo Ren Force FX Lightsaber

This is a pretty pricey lightsaber, and I have a hard time picturing parents shelling out $200 for a replica lightsaber to be used as a toy.

I've tried out the $200 version, and it's a bit weighty for a kid. While it's an awesome replica of Kylo Ren's lightsaber down to the crackling lightsaber sounds and detailed design, I'd consider this more of a collector's item.

I definitely wouldn't trust a kid swinging this thing around. If you were hit with it, it would definitely hurt.

If you're looking for a more affordable three-pronged lightsaber, I'd recommend one of Hasbro's other models of the same lightsaber. There's a $29.99 deluxe electronic lightsaber which also lights up and makes sounds. A $12.99 version extendable lightsaber is available, too, but that one doesn't light up or make any sounds.

Check out the $200 lightsaber here

3. LEGO's $149.99 1,329-piece Millennium Falcon playset.

Seriously, what kid wouldn't want to build their own Millennium Falcon?

Again, the drawback here is the $150 price tag.

But look at the pros:

Not only does the ship open up, but you're also getting a lot of "The Force Awakens" characters in this set: Rey, Finn, BB-8, and a silver-haired Harrison Ford. This is the only LEGO set so far where you can get him.

You can check out LEGO's Millennium Falcon set here

For an alternative, you can check out some of the other LEGO sets available here. There are many of them!
