Ahead of the April 5 release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Blu-ray and DVD, the box-office smash has already leaked online.
Torrent Freak reports that torrenting sites like The Pirate Bay and Kickass Torrents have already obtained copies of the Blu-ray, where users have begun streaming and downloading the film in huge numbers.
There's no word yet on where the leak originated; however, review copies of the Blu-ray are currently being sent to press.
Torrent Freak site estimates 250,000 users downloaded the film within the first twelve hours of it leaking.
Disney and Lucasfilm have sent, according to the site, "tens of thousands" of takedown requests to Google to limit the pirated copy's availability online.
